Why you need fat in diet

If you think that no-fat, no-cheese diet is all about you then it is time for you to follow a relaxed approach as the human body does need some amount of fat in diet to ensure complete growth and development of body parts.
Before we read any further, it is important for us to note that human body requires fat for varying functions including cell function, cell structure, hormonal activities, metabolism, and regulation of menstrual cycle in women, skin care, and growth of healthy hair. This clearly means that lack of fats, knowingly or unknowingly, can have an adverse effect on any or all of these body functions.
Now that we have read about benefits of fats, let us read about some good sources of healthy fat to develop a clear and complete understanding. Some of the good fat sources are ice bran oil, groundnut oil, sunflower oil, mustard oil, flax seeds, melon seeds etc, and seafood. It is worthwhile to note here that the recommended dietary fat intake for you will be around 22-25 percent of ideal body weight, which is dependant upon your age, height, and size of body frame. It is always recommended that you do not initiate dieting or any weight loss technique or medication unless the same is pre-approved by a qualified medical practitioner else you may end up bringing harmful effects to your body in the long run.
