Day make-up for Christmas

With Christmas approaching, everyone is busy decorating homes and making preparations for decorating Christmas trees, to make them look perfect. Apart from your house and surroundings, if you want to look in for Christmas, even you have to sport the perfect looks. So it is important for you to wear the right make-up when you step out of your house. During the day time your make-up should be simple and casual and not much loud with bright colors as they look better in the evening. While wearing your make-up you should keep in mind the kind of outfit you are wearing.

The casual chic make-up is in for the day time. This look is for an afternoon out of doors. It could be skating at an outdoor rink in the center of the city, sledging or singing Christmas carols with the people of your neighborhood outdoors. Whatever be your choice for the day, you are going to need the right make-up application. For the lips, wear shades of light pink or browns or even a transparent gloss will do if you want it to be really simple. Don’t wear reds or shades of purple and shocking pink during the bright sunny day. It looks really over and flashy to the eyes of the people. So, the trick is to make it look simple yet sweet. As for the eyes, wear neutral eye-liners during the day time like the traditional black or shades of brown. Brown shade gives you a younger look while the black makes you look more matured. For finishing touches you can apply a little bit of black mascara. Keep the colored ones for the evening. A touch of light eye-shadow over the eyes can complete the eye job. Don’t wear oil-based glittery ones during the day as they tend to smudge and it is not the right choice to make if you are planning to go outdoors and have fun. The ones with powdered base are preferable.

Avoid wearing thick foundation base during the day as it may get spoilt during the many activities at day-time. A single touch of blush will be sufficient. Shades of brown look good on your cheeks during the bright sunshine! Don’t wear long dangling earrings; instead wear small studs with funky patterns during the day. They are in this season! Keep the flashy and dangling ones for the night. A wrist-fit bracelet will complete your day look.

So, follow the right steps and sport the right day look this Christmas.

Make-up tips for the Christmas party this season!

Christmas season is in and with it has come a whole new season of fun, frolic and lots of partying. If you are still thinking which look you should carry in the form of makeup this season, here’s our guide to make-up that’ll bring you the best in you and have people turning around to see if THIS is what the real you is!

Alright, let’s get started!

This Christmas the look is subtle, not gory. Even if it is the evening parties you’re attending, light makeup is the call of the season as it makes you look like your natural self and only prettier is the way to go. So far the notion has been to pile up the face with too heavy a makeup in order to look glamorous. However, overdone make up can make you look older and hence it is best to stick to minimal touch-ups. Light make up makes you look younger and more inviting to guys – if you didn’t know that.

The first thing you need to invest is in a set of makeup brushes. The ones can come free with cosmetics are not of that superior a quality and hence should be completely avoided. Fine brushes work well when you’re actually putting on your face.

The next is to get a right foundation for yourself. The best way is to go in for one that rightly matches your skin tone. It should be neither be too light nor too dark. If you think your skin is already smooth and doesn’t need much coverage, you can also use a tinted moisturizer close to your skin tone.

Now the eyes! Forget what people have been saying so far and dare you look your natural best this season. If you really want to get the natural look out in your eyes, apply a soft shimmer on your eyes and use the eye liner as sparingly as possible. Define the lashes using a mascara but separate them immediately with a clean mascara brush or a comb.

Well if you turning a rebel against the make-up freaks this season, then let’s do it properly. Drop the wine red lips and go for something nude and neutral shades with lots of gloss accentuating them

Thus we see the look this Christmas is subtle, chic and naturally pretty.

Keep it natural!

Today the world is beset with myriad options for women to beautify themselves in every possible way. You can get your hair colored, employ make-up experts to camouflage the blemishes on your face and even get plastic surgery if you think your nose or lips need to be shapelier. But have you ever thought what makes you really beautiful above all of this?

I have heard numerous women saying that, ’My breasts are too small, I will get implants’; ‘I don’t like the shape of my lips, I’ll get them done like Angelina Jolie’. I mean where we are heading if we nullify what nature has given us naturally and continue imitating others just to look beautiful? Are you assured of the fact that if you get something artificially done to yourself, you’ll look more attractive than before?

I’m sorry to say but those of you who really think so are absolutely wrong. Angelina Jolie is bestowed with features unique only to her. If she has perfect lips then she has a nose, eyes and genetically designed face structure complimenting it. The same goes for any other celebrity you admire and the same goes for you too. You have a particular set of features gifted to you by nature because that’s how you are supposed to be. Nature has given each of us some gift or the other which we fail to see because someone else’s features attract us more than our own selves’. It is a pity to see that women who are already so beautiful go for facial surgeries so gross that they end up spoiling what they are naturally gifted features as well.

I understand not all of us are born perfect but then this pertains to each of us. No one , not even celebrities are perfect in any way. They also hide their shortages under various garbs, be it through clothing or through various make-up techniques.

Every celebrity is like a common woman at the end of the day so please stop comparing yourself with the face you are made to see on the screens. Those faces are a result of myriad make-up coatings and light effects. You’ll probably look the same if same happens with you too.

My advice to all the ladies out there is that if you want to look beautiful, try being it in your skin. Instead of getting the flab removed by liposuction, play some sports, hit the gym or go for walks. You’ll not only enhance your looks in this way but also feel great from inside. This may certainly require some effort but there’s no way better than enhancing yourself in a natural way. If you look around you’ll see there are more organic ways than artificial to keep you fit and beautiful looking in every possible way.

So please stop wanting to look like someone else and take pride in being your own self in your own beautiful skin!
