The sun is back in its full glory, bringing with it a great release from the dryness winters brought to our skin. However, summers have their own set of hazards but by employing some measures you can have yourself looking beautiful as ever, every moment of everyday!
Well the first thing that enters our mind when we think of summers is ‘water’, be it the sea or the pool and if you spend too much time in it without taking care, you are likely to damage your skin and hair in more ways than you know. So the first rule is to keep your skin covered in a sun screen every time you enter the waters. You must massage your body well with it to make sure it seeps in your skin pores. This will help chemicals and other destructive elements present in water from affecting your skin.
Another important thing you need to take care of during summers is your make-up. The heat of the sun can easily melt your make-up so make sure you do not cover your face with layers of foundation during summers. So the rule of the thumb is to apply as little make-up as possible and only stick to natural shades to look naturally beautiful in your own skin. Some of these shades include nude earthen colors, plum, shimmers and glosses.
Skin pores already tend to get blocked by the sweat and dust particles during hot days and a layer of makeup can only make it worse. If you think you desperately need something to hide your imperfections, use a cream-based foundation in very little quantities and dab it with a light foundation powder so that the cream gets locked. You can also use a tinted moisturizer if you think using a foundation might not be a bright idea during summers. It works equally well in hiding small flaws on the face.
Dark eye make-up should also be avoided on all occasions. This is so because the moment it catches the heat, you will start looking like a raccoon when great makeup smudges around your eyes. Choose bronzer for evening and blush anytime to create an image of sun-kissed cheeks. The best way to escape this it to use waterproof make-up during the hot summer months, i.e. if applying make-up is a must. Ideally you should avoid it as much as you can.
Get your hands and legs cleaned and dare to use some bold colors on them. This will add to the fun element that summers bring with them.
So here we are with some basic tips telling you how to look your natural best during summers. Keep reading to catch up with more beauty tips on summers.

We most often talk about all kind of make-up tips to adorn our face the best way we can but what we miss are the ways in which we can fix our make-up if something goes wrong at the least hour. I am sure you will agree with me. Make-up glitches are a common occurrence and it is as important knowing how to fix it as it is to know how to apply make-up in the first place. Smearing of the mascara or the lipstick is something we often confront so here I am with tips that’ll be your best aide in such situations.
Mascara!
How many times have you seen mascara smearing or sticking under the eyes when you are about to step out of the house or meet someone the next minute? Well, quite often isn’t it? Alright there are a couple of quick fixes you can employ. If you have some time at your disposal, then just let the mascara dry. Then take a clean Q-tip and brush it dry from above or under your eyes. If you are in haste, then all you have to do is dip the Q-tip in either glycerin or rose water and neatly remove the smear.
When i say neat, it means avoid removing the foundation from underneath the eye. If that happens, then dip another Q-tip in the foundation and apply it gently once again. Do not panic. It often causes your hands to shake and you may end up causing more damage to your make-up. Be calm and relaxed as it is just a trivial hitch.
Lipstick!
If you are in for an important lunch with a client and see that your lipstick has smeared down along the fine lines of your mouth, this is what you are supposed to do. In order to avoid such a thing in the first place is to use a primer or a lip liner as the base before applying the lipstick. However, if you still see your lipstick spilling from the lower lips, clean your lipstick brush in the make-up remover, dip it a bit in the foundation and use it to dissolve the smeared lipstick to get the natural color back to the skin.
If the lipstick has turned out to be a shade much darker than you expected, then apply a natural beige color over the top to soften the look. Never think of removing the lipstick and applying it all over again in such a case. Applying a layer of nude shade is the best remedy to neutralize the color. Ideally the more layers you apply, the lighter the color of the lipstick will become.
On the other hand if it is evening time, you can apply sheers in the form of gold and silver metallic shades over your lipstick to soften its color. This combination works wonders if that glitzy, yet a subtle look is what you want to get on the occasion. Avoid this look in the day as it looks best only in the night.
Nevertheless, if you want to render a bright look to your lipstick in the daytime, use a bright/darker lip liner with a softer shade of the same tone within.
These tips are going to be your ally for the rest of your life so keep them with you forever! Wish you all sunshine!

I have had countless complains coming from ladies after the delivery of their kids that their husbands want them to look like the same sexy woman they were when they got married. But after the baby and the baby belly they develop, they find shedding their weight to be a bit too impossible and think that their husbands ought to accept them the way they are now. Isn’t that all true, my friends?
So why is it that we lose all our hopes to look good again post-pregnancy? I do understand that the amount of weight we gain is not something we can lay off so easily especially because the pressure of upbringing our child surrounds us then. And needless to say that being a mom is any time a busier job than an unmarried working woman. She is after all engaged on a full-time basis which leaves very little time for her to spend on herself.
Everything said and done, I still believe that being a mother does not mean that we will no longer fix our hair or dress like a bag lady. You are not a helpless victim and a box of twinkies will not attack you when you wake up. Never forget that apart from being a mother, a wife or a sister, you are an individual as well and you have a right to live your life to the fullest despite your responsibilities. And this means that you have a right to look good once again and achieve the same old elegance person that attracted countless admiring glances all the time.
If you feel too depressed about putting in effort to work on yourself, just open your wedding album and see if you are the same person your husband got married to. The idea, my ear friend is to take charge of your health and look your best not just for your husband but also for your own self.
I agree that this time if you want to get slimmer, it is going to take some hard work but spending some time on yourself everyday will only reap positive results for you in the long run. Firstly, there is no bound to the amount of confidence you will bring to yourself because looking good always leads to feeling good in your heart and vice versa. And secondly, you will bring the old romantic days in your life because men, after all are more visually stirred than any thing else.
So my request to all the moms and to-be-moms is that please do not succumb to mediocrity post pregnancy. All of you are gorgeous ladies and you deserve to look as beautiful as you have always been. So what are you waiting for? Its time to get up and get going!
