Home remedies for your skin!

Women shelling out huge bucks on cosmetics and other beauty products aren’t new to any of us. However, the desire to look her best at every age or may I say younger than her actual age is something every woman aspires for. But it’s not always possible for us to afford lump sum amount every week of the month to ensure that our skin is in perfect condition. Besides, our hectic schedules leave us with hardly any time to render to our beauty regimes. Considering this, there are some simple home remedies which you can employ on a regular basis to save yourself from investing big bucks in parlors and beauty spas.

Here are some tips for the dry skin!

Mix half a tea spoon of rose water and one tea spoon of honey to make a solution and gently apply it all over your face. Leave it there for a good 15-20 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water. This recipe will work wonders for you as honey moisturizes and soothes dry skin making it supple and soft.

If you keep massaging your face regularly with almond or olive oil, you’ll see that your skin will stop being flaky and has become soft and highly nourished.

Take just one-fourth of an apple. Peel its skin off, grate and keep it in the refrigerator to cool for some time. Then apply it on the skin leaving it for 20 minutes. After the time is over, wash it off with cool water. You’ll see that dry skin has become smoothened and you now have a pleasant glow.

Tips for normal skin!

If you want to get rid of your dead and lifeless skin, the best way to do is to dab with banana paste. Also banana helps giving your skin a fresh and healthy glow. Finely mash one-fourth of ripe banana and apply it on the face, taking care to avoid   the eye region. Let it remain for 10 minutes and then gently wash off with cool water.

The magic of beauty sleep!

We have often been heard about how important sleep is for us. In layman’s language, we know that it relaxes the body and prepares the mind for the next day’s hustle bustle. But how many of us really know that getting a good night’s sleep can bring exceptional glow on our skin. Yes, good sleep is one of the prime essentials in acquiring a skin that’s not only radiant but wrinkle free as well.

Let’s have a look at how it works!

Everything starts with having a proper routine. A routine which schedules everything you do at a specific time – whether it be having your meals or going to work or going to bed. Don’t think that just because you are going to bed everyday does not mean you’ll get the skin desired by you. You have to have a proper sleep routine i.e. a fixed time of going to sleep and getting up if you really want to have that dream glow on your face.

If you don’t have any fixed routine and think that sleeping a number of hours a day will cast this magic spell on you, you are highly mistaken. In fact not taking scheduled sleep can make you look tired, gloomy and even sick. It can make your skin go dull and lifeless too if you continue following an erratic routine over a long period of time. Insufficient sleep can affect your weight as well. This is because when you sleep well, body reduces stress hormones which then help in fat loss. On the other hand, having an erratic schedule can put you in bad shape and also make you irritable and ill-tempered as well.

You must not forget that skin is a very sensitive part of your body and that it needs to be nurtured with great care and attention. However there are times when even after sleeping long number of hours we feel tired and restless. When such a thing happens, you must realize that there is something wrong with your emotional or mental being. If your mind or heart is not at peace, you are likely to have a disturbed sleep or even nightmares for that matter. In such situations, try sleeping while listening to some meditative music or any thing that seems soothing to your ears.

Cleanse your face well before sleeping and then lie down with nothing in mind or only positive thoughts so ensure that your journey after you close your eyes is peaceful and harmonious. Eat healthy food and have your breakfast on time in the morning. If you follow this even for a week, you’ll see that there’ll be a yawning gap in your skin from what it was earlier.

So from now on, promise yourself to maintain a proper sleep and diet routine to bring the perfect glory to your face!

The best way to look beautiful is…

The best way to look beautiful is to be the way you naturally are. Period – end of story!
There can be no ifs and buts about it. Unfortunately, there are millions of women who think otherwise. There are millions who think that getting their nose fixed by artificial means, or getting a breast implant done will make them look more beautiful than they naturally are. Let’s see what lies beneath all of this.

A simple fact lining this is when you get something changed in you artificially, that part of you loses the grace gifted by nature to you. That part of you becomes artificial and you lose your natural identity as an individual. See, all of us are born with certain set of features, assets and weaknesses. That doesn’t mean we employ false means to rectify it. I am not against make-up over here. It is absolutely fine to use make-up sometimes to hide details you don’t like, but why to use so much of it?

Speaking of it, there are ideally two types of makeup - evening and daily makeup. You must always take into regard that your routine shouldn’t be very bright.I would rather recommend not wearing it at all on regular days. It is a common truth that people adore natural looks more than made-up faces. Even if someone compliments you when you are wearing an evening makeup, that doesn’t mean you ought to wear at all times.

Always remember that makeup shouldn’t be casual, it should be occasional. Using myriad masks and creams will certainly make your skin look beautiful but you will only ruin it if you’ll apply them everyday.

Hence my point here is that stop trying adorn yourself with things that hide your natural beauty. Even if your features are not perfect, there might be something else more appropriate in you. If your lips are not pouted and you have beautiful eyes, you must try accentuating them and make them more noticeable than other features of yours and your problem will be solved!

And if it is the men you intend to impress, this is what they say when do they find a woman the prettiest- “To me, my woman looks the prettiest in the morning because that’s when she’s wearing no makeup, her hair is messy, she is sleepy and as natural as possible, therefore I find her beautiful.”

I’m sure all the beauty aspirants out there might have gotten their answers by now. You can never look more beautiful by being someone other than your natural self. So learn to be confident in your skin and be happy. A happy heart will always call forth a beautiful skin!
