<p>We have often been heard about how important sleep is for us. In layman’s language, we know that it relaxes the body and prepares the mind for the next day’s hustle bustle. But how many of us really know that getting a good night’s sleep can bring exceptional glow on our skin. Yes, good sleep is one of the prime essentials in acquiring a skin that’s not only radiant but wrinkle free as well.</p>
<p>Let’s have a look at how it works!</p>
<p>Everything starts with having a proper routine. A routine which schedules everything you do at a specific time – whether it be having your meals or going to work or going to bed. Don’t think that just because you are going to bed everyday does not mean you’ll get the skin desired by you. You have to have a proper sleep routine i.e. a fixed time of going to sleep and getting up if you really want to have that dream glow on your face.</p>
<p>If you don’t have any fixed routine and think that sleeping a number of hours a day will cast this magic spell on you, you are highly mistaken. In fact not taking scheduled sleep can make you look tired, gloomy and even sick. It can make your skin go dull and lifeless too if you continue following an erratic routine over a long period of time. Insufficient sleep can affect your weight as well. This is because when you sleep well, body reduces stress hormones which then help in fat loss. On the other hand, having an erratic schedule can put you in bad shape and also make you irritable and ill-tempered as well.</p>
<p>You must not forget that skin is a very sensitive part of your body and that it needs to be nurtured with great care and attention. However there are times when even after sleeping long number of hours we feel tired and restless. When such a thing happens, you must realize that there is something wrong with your emotional or mental being. If your mind or heart is not at peace, you are likely to have a disturbed sleep or even nightmares for that matter. In such situations, try sleeping while listening to some meditative music or any thing that seems soothing to your ears.</p>
<p>Cleanse your face well before sleeping and then lie down with nothing in mind or only positive thoughts so ensure that your journey after you close your eyes is peaceful and harmonious. <p>Hair removal is one of the most common procedures every female has to invariably undergo every now and then. While it is a part of our daily routine now, some women confront some difficulty while dealing with it. Hence it becomes imperative for us to know what kind of hair needs to be removed in which way.</p>
<p>Here are some details:</p>
<p>Since hair are growths on our skin, we should be extremely careful in dealing with it as skin a highly sensitive region of our body. Now the first thing you need to know out here is that the criteria of hair removal depends on the region it needs to be removed from. You have facial hair, body hair and pubic hair (bikini region) and depending on these you can remove them by waxing, shaving and plucking.</p>
<p>Also there are two categories of hair removal. The first type is the vellum hair which are extremely soft and are located on a woman’s chest, face and back. Removing vellum hair is optional because these are very soft and are highly unlikely to be visible. Hence if not necessary, they should not be removed until your skin is too light to make them seem visible. If still your growth is gross, you get them removed through plucking, waxing and laser therapy.</p>
<p>On the other hand, the hair that are more visible and coarse are the terminal hair. Their location is mainly on our legs, head, armpits and bikini region. Since they are darker and longer, you need a method that is stronger and is lasting. Hence the most common methods employed for its removal are shaving, plucking, depilatories, waxing, electrolysis, laser and prescription treatment. There is no doubt in the fact that these methods are more painful but depending on your ability to deal with the pain and the area you want to clean, you can still minimize it by choosing an alternative treatment.</p>
<p>Where plucking is suggested on small areas such as eyebrows, upper lip and chin, it is best that hands, legs and armpits be treated through waxing. Depilatories are an inexpensive means and do not cause much pain. Their effect lasts from few days to two weeks at least. They can be used on any area but you have to be extremely careful while buying one, because it has a lot of chemical components and can prove dangerous fro people who have sensitive skin.</p>
<p>Thus please be careful in determining which method to go for before opting for hair removal. Please be very cautious and aware about the effects of each of these. I’ll be talking more on other types of hair removal in my forth coming articles so keep reading and take good care of yourself!<br />

 A study shows that if sleep is disturbed then the two hormones melatonin and cortisol get affected. These two hormones are known to have been powerful influencers to the cancer cells.</p>
<p>Since lack of sleep hinders the production of melatonin hormone. Produced by the brain during sleep, melatonin is rich antioxidant properties that help prevent damage to cells that can lead to cancer. Melatonin also lowers estrogen production from the ovaries. And this may expose women to high levels of estrogen and may increase the risk of breast cancer. Another vital hormone that gets disturbed because of the lack of sleep is cortisol it regulates the immune system activity, including the release of certain natural killer cells that may help the body fight against cancer</p>

Studies have shown that a 20 minute sleep in the afternoon increases your productivity. So, take a power nap to jump start in the middle of the day.<br />
 So, to lead a healthy life, do not miss upon your sleep. Sleep is quite an essential for you and even if you are working hard. Don’t forget health is wealth.<br />

<p>In my last article, I spoke about myriad ways in which we can remove hair. However, since they are growths on our skin, we need to be extra careful about the choice of technique before employing it. I also spoke about which technique you need to employ in order to remove the vellum and terminal hair. Where depilatories and plucking have already been discussed, let’s focus on other procedures now!</p>
<p>None of us are new to the method of waxing. This is probably the most painful procedures of hair removal, but has a longer effect i.e. 3 to 6 weeks at a stretch. To some people, this may cause redness of the skin, inflammation and even bumps, yet they are not long lasting and soon disappear leaving absolutely smooth skin. This precisely happens because of the pores the hair come from gets inflamed because of sudden stretching of the skin.</p>
<p>Electrolysis on the other hand is a permanent method but in order to see its actual effect, you need to pay several visits to the skin care expert. It is usually employed for small areas such as upper lip, eyebrows and underarms because the hair in these regions are comparatively thinner and easier to treat. The procedure is also quite painful and may cause dry skin, scabs, scarring and inflammation at times. Electrolysis is an expensive method as it is the only permanent method of hair removal so far.</p>
<p>Laser hair removal therapy, on the other hand is expensive and painless, with its effect lasting for about at least 6 months or so. One condition in which this treatment is most effective is when your skin is light and the hair darker. It is only then that this treatment works the best.</p>

<p>Ingredients and Tools<br />
1. Salt is supposed to be more abrasive than that of sugar. Add 2 cups sea salt, kosher salt or white salt.<br />
2. Add 1 cup almond oil.<br />
3. Add 10-30 drops of cosmetic or high grade essential oil. Grapeseed and olive oil are excellent choices for oil. Lavender is suitable for most skin type.<br />
4. A covered, plastic container for mixing and storage.</p>
<p>Making the Scrub<br />
Mix both the salt and sugar with the oil and then add essential oil dropwise. The essential oils are skin care quality to prevent skin irritation. Peppermint or spearmint oil should be avoided as they can create skin irritation.</p>
<p>Directions For Using An Exfoliating Body Scrub At Home<br />
1. Step into the bath tub. Do not get wet or turn on any water.<br />
2. Apply body scrub on one area of the body at a time.<br />
3. Start with feet and legs and then work upward.<br />
4. Give less pressure on the massage on the sensitive skin like under arms or the inner thigh and more pressure on rougher areas such as feet and ankles.<br />
5. Wash your body thoroughly ensuring that the scrub has been washed.<br />
6. Pat dry the skin. Dont rub because it can create irritation to the freshly exfoliating skin.<br />
7. As per the skin apply body moisturizer which are without fragrance.</p>
<p>This can last for three to five full body exfoliation session at home. It should be used within one month. For best results, a weekly body exfoliation is the recommended usage. Furthermore, this body scrub recipe is too abrasive for the face and should be used on the body only.<br />
