Create your own nail care spa at home!

What do you think comes after your face you remain so bothered about? All right, I won’t keep you thinking hard. I am talking about the hard protein in your body called the keratin, YOUR NAILS! Nails today have become an important part of our beauty maintenance regime, for they are now considered to be one of the most ornamental tissues of our body. Today, we have specialized services in parlors and spas, which embodies a series of steps taken to cleanse and glamorize these sets of nails. This technique is called manicure. But if you think you are too busy to go to a spa to give yourself this nail treat, here are some tips that’ll help you do turn your own little home into a nail care spa.

First of all, you have to ensure that your hands are free from any kind of grime or dirt. We often tend to ignore our continuous association with dirt everyday and how it settles insides the cuticles of our nails. So before you start off , wash your hands with a scrub or a mild soap and warm water. Oil on hands or gunge under the nails can be got rid off with a  bit of swarfega or other cleansing agents. You may use a nailbrush to these out of your nails.

If you observe your nails becoming too white, yellowish or crumbly, it could be a fungal infection. Before it get worse, you need to see a doctor to ensure that you get an anti-fungal paint to get rid of it. If you suffer from hangnails or loose skin around your nails, trim it off with sharp scissors to reduce the skin from getting torn or catching infections.

Some basic things you need to have for manicure are nail file, cuticle trimmer, nail buffer, non-acetone nail polish remover, cotton balls, cuticle oil with Vitamin E, nail polish base coat and a hand lotion.

•    Soon after, apply lotion after washing to avoid drying nails and nail beds out.
•    Using wooden cuticle stick, gently push cuticles back. If hangnails are present, gently trim with cuticle cutters.
•    It is not recommended to cut the actual cuticle. While pushing cuticles back, you may use a cotton ball to massage cuticle oil onto and around nail bed.
•    Be sure to wipe excess off nail before polishing.
•    To gain a perfect polished look, first apply base coat.
•    Let dry. Apply 2 coats of polish, allowing adequate time to dry between coats.
•    And then apply a strong topcoat.
•    You may elect to purchase a quick dry finishing spray to encourage faster drying time, but you will still need to be careful with your nails for about an hour after polishing.
•    You can correct any mistakes (remove polish on skin around edge of nail) by using a small q-tip dipped in polish remover or a nail polish corrector pen.

So we see that if we have the right equipments, we are not very away from beautifying our own nails with equal ease and skill. Just remember that when you are not wearing colored polish, it is best to wear one to two coats of a clear nail protector in order to encourage nail maintenance.
