How long can you use the beauty products?

If you are among women who have kept their make-up in the kit for years now, you need to read this article for sure. This is because unlike the common myth surrounding the fact that make-up never decays, let me tell you that whether you can make out or not, every product in your kit has a life. You might have reasons to keep it with you for such a long time like its high price or less frequent availability of the same shade but you must also know that beyond a certain limit, your product can be a breeding ground for harmful bacteria. This can in turn have serious repercussions on the skin, the eyes as well your lips. Hence it is a mandate for you to know the time after which your make-up needs to be replaced.

Here are some factors that affect the life of make-up products.

The type!
The type of the product is the key factor in deciding its shelf life. If a particular product is liquid based such as soufflés, foundations or creams, their life is likely to be much less than other dry products. The date of manufacturing will tell you the time until which it can be used. Besides, ingredients used in the manufacturing of a particular product also play a crucial role in determining how quickly it needs to be thrown away. Products in the form of powder or mineral make-ups tend to liver longer.

Packaging!
Packaging also takes a significant share in deciding the shelf life of a make-up product. Some containers inherently safer than the others as they use air tight nozzles to close the boxes where some are not. Hence tubes in which liquid or cakes are used like the mascara, foundation and lipsticks are more prone to bacteria than glass bottles and compacts. The material of the container again plays an eminent role in guarding off the dangerous bacteria.

So the next time you buy your make-up, make sure you see the manufacturing date, the quality of the product and the container in which it is packed to save yourself from the hazards of long-kept makeup products. If your products start giving a foul smell, seem frozen or you see granules floating in a bottle of liquid cream, you must know that it is time to put it in the bin. Lipsticks if spoilt and are still applied may cause severe irritation on your lips and you may feel extremely pungent. The moment this happens, dab some cotton in glycerin and scrap it off with a promise that you are never going to use your aged make-up products or even keep them with you, for that matter!

Ways to improve your skin tone!

Skin is the largest organ in our body; it is like a blank canvas for a beautiful face or body to look good. Where we have the market loaded with skin care products to beautify ourselves, having a clear flawless skin in itself the perfect recipe to look beautiful naturally.

Most of us apply make-up because we want to look good but have you ever thought the toll that make-up products take on our skin? Yes, too much make-up can also be harmful for your skin as well as our skin tone. The best way I perceive to naturally have a skin so beautiful that there remains no space to beautify your self with any kind of artificial products. In fact even if you go for modeling or other such professions, the first thing that agencies see in you is your skin. Where for some, good genetics lends a helping hand, for others, beautiful skin is something they will have to work for. Let’s see how you can develop a skin that is absolutely flawless and pure.

There are two things when it comes to skin – the tone and the texture.

Hydration!
Dryness is the root cause of having a skin texture that is uneven and irregular. The reddishness of the skin with clogged pores can be anyone’s worst nightmare. So if you want to avoid that, hydrating your skin is of prime importance. It is a known fact that drinking at least two liters of water a day is recommended by almost every dermatologist. This is so because hydration is the only therapy to develop a skin that is smooth, glowing and spotless. It will also help combat your acne marks and make your skin slightly plump with enlarged pores less visible. Moreover, the improvement that you see in the tone of your skin will completely surprise you!

Exfoliation!
We have all seen film stars flaunting skins that are flawless and impeccably spotless. Well, their secret lies in what is known as exfoliation. No matter how well and how many ever times you wash your skin in a single day, until you don’t exfoliate it, it will not lose the dead cells that form the uppermost layer of the dermis. The dead skin cells will continue to build up and the skin will start looking dull, older and less pretty. The cells will also block your pores resulting in blackheads, pimples and stretched as well as enlarged pores.

So you must get exfoliation done on a regular basis. If you don’t have time to go a salon to get this done, you can do it manually by yourself with the help of exfoliating cloths, brushes and scrubs. Ensure that you do not use a hard brush or scrub roughly as they can cause bruises on your skin and leave it irritated , making your problems even worse. There is yet another method called as microdermabrasion which helps to buff the dead skin and impurities away from the face.

So we see how these simple methods can help us rejuvenate our skin in such a dynamic way. All you have to do is maintain a regular routine and keep yourself away from any kind of stress and anxiety because a smiling face will always have a smiling skin.

Skin maintenance tips!

Each of us, specially working women are continuously exposed to the hazard of skin problems due to our strenuous work schedules, the pollution and lack of time to really find some potential means to take care of our skin the ideal way. In fact sometimes, even if we have time, we are not aware about the right way to maintain our skin. If you are not experiencing difficulty in the form of acne flare-ups does not mean you are free from any kind of skin issues. With time, we are all exposed to dry skin anomalies and potential wrinkles so we have to have an ongoing skin care routine by all means.

Here are some tips for women aspiring to have beautiful and attractive skin:

Skin Cleansing
It is imperative for all women to cleanse their skin at least twice a day on a daily basis. When you go to bed everyday without washing your face or removing your makeup, the pores of your skin get blocked and your skin is unable to breathe properly and rejuvenate itself. If your skin is a tad too sensitive, avoid using an alcohol based cleanser. First cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser and then wash it with warm water. Use a cotton towel to wipe your face dry. Using extremely hot water to wash your face can cause damage to your skin.

The three step method in this regard is most effective. After cleansing your face, use a toner to remove the excess oil present on your skin to unclog the pores. After this apply a water-based moisturizer, to maintain the moisture of the skin intact. If you want to have optimum results, this skin care routine should be done once in the morning and once in the evening.

If you want to have a routine for your body as well, use a gentle body wash that helps you to get rid of dirt and grime accumulated by our body in the entire day. Since we need to also exfoliate the pores on our body, instead of using the toner for it, scrubbing it gently with a loofah or a bath sponge will help us to unclog the pores.

Too much of a good thing should be avoided!
If you think that washing your face more than two times a day will help you cleanse your skin more, you need to uproot this myth right away. When you wash your face or take a shower more than twice a day you are stripping your skin off the essential oils it needs to maintain the beauty of your skin. Over-scrubbing the skin also deprives the skin of the necessary oils and leads to the over production sebum to make up for it which results in dry skin with breakout at various portions of the dermis.

These are some routine measures which will hardly take a few minutes of your strenuous schedule and help you combat the hazards cast by aging or stress in our skin. The secret to maintaining a healthy skin ideally is to keep yourself happy all the time so that your skin can smile too!
