Lips are assets for most of the women. Soft and pink lips make you look sexy and attractive. Lips also need protection like our facial skin.

It is very important to protect your lips in summer season. Pick up any lip balm having SPF of at least 15 and apply on your lips to protect it from the sun.

Here are a few tips that will help you get soft lips:

• Lots of water intake is beneficial. It needs to be pure and filtered water .lots of fruits is also advisable to include in your diet plan. Water helps to keeping you hydrated and your lips wet.

• Avoid using any lip balms with phenol, lanolin and anything with a fragrance. Such balms can use irritation to the skin.

• Always apply a lip balm at bedtime.

• A dark, creamy lipstick helps protect lips from the sun and keep moisture in.

• Don’t share your lip balm as it can spread germs.

• Always carry lip-balm wherever you go. Keep a lip balm handy so that you don’t have the urge to lick your lips. Try not to lick your lips as the saliva will make them dry.

• Foods rich in vitamin B are advisable, such as whole grains, nuts and green vegetables. Lack of B vitamins lead to chapped lips in some people.

• It is advisable to wear lip products that have a SPF 15 or higher.

• You can grind rose petals and apply on lips to get smooth pink lips.

• Take a small amount of baby oil and apply to a face towel. Dab onto lips and rub around with finger. Do not brush your lips too hard or they will be raw and sore. Coconut oil and Coconut milk can also be used.

• If you have a serious lip condition that doesn’t respond to coconut oil for any reason make sure you see your skin specialist or dermatologist before it’s too late.

• To get natural pink lips apply beet root juice before bed.

• It is an efficient remedy to exfoliate the dead, dry skin on your lips every night by gently dabbing them with a tooth brush and some of Vaseline.

• Rub a slice of cucumber on your lips or apply neem extract to make your lips soft.

Since we need to also exfoliate the pores on our body, instead of using the toner for it, scrubbing it gently with a loofah or a bath sponge will help us to unclog the pores.

If you think that washing your face more than two times a day will help you cleanse your skin more, you need to uproot this myth right away.
