You should apply your makeup in a way that helps to lift your facial appearance, soften any lines and wrinkles and compliments your innate mature beauty to give you a livelier and younger appearance.. Play around with samples to see which ones offer the best coverage, but still maintaining a light weight and flawless application. Don’t shy away from colour on the eyes, cheeks and lips.
The tips to get you shimmering:
• Apply a concealer that is somewhat lighter than you foundation and apply to areas of concern, such as dark circles, around the corners of the nose and any blemishes you may have.
• Using your light weight mineral foundation, brush across the face until the preferred coverage is achieved. You can include a setting powder at this stage for an airbrushed finish.
• For the eyes, opt soft subtle shades, but be watchful not to go too soft with colour as this can make you look washed out. Select matte colors for a day look such a creams, soft browns, pinks and even lilacs, shimmers can accentuate wrinkles, but at the same time, if applied appropriately for an evening look, can give your eyes an instant young-looking appearance.
• Do groom those brows regularly. Brush brow hairs with a brow brush and fill in any gaps with a soft black or soft brown brow liner.
• Use a soft colour black or brown liner, apply to the top lid as close to the lash line as feasible. If you need to apply liner to the bottom lid, then don’t overdo it. One stroke is all you need.
• Apply three coats of soft black or brown mascara to the top lashes, starting as close to the lash line as feasible. If you can do without applying mascara to the bottom lashes, then don’t do it.
• A bronzer comes highly suggested at this age. pick one that won’t make you look fake or orangey. Apply easily to the forehead, cheeks nose and chin. You can omit blush at this stage and apply bronzer slightly darker to the cheeks and blend well.
• If you choose a blush, then opt for subtle tones with a slight shimmer such as soft pinks, soft reds and soft mauves. Mineral blush meets this criteria pretty well as the shimmer is natural and not artificial.
