Be Fit and Slim – Eat Right



If you have a habit of eating the breakfast walking around the house or “swallow” food in minutes or gulps down a glass of water during meals, it is time that you say goodbye to these bad eating habits so that you get the most of what you eat and stay fit and slim with no special effort.

While having your meals, it is NEVER recommended to watch television or read newspapers or books. Moreover, you should take at least 15-20 minutes to complete each meal. By staying tuned only to the meal plate and not to the television or newspaper, your brain is in a better position to register that the stomach is full.

In addition to that, it is important for you NOT to sip water as you eat. This is because too much of water during meals can lead to distension or swelling of the stomach that could prevent food from being digested properly and acidity. However, a few sips of water would not do any harm.

It is also important for you to chew every bite of the meal until it is of near-liquid consistency so that the meal can be propely digested.

It is also recommended that you stay away from stress and communication while having meals. So, switch off that mobile phone or put it on silent so that calls do not disturb you while you are enjoying the meals.

In addition to these tips, it is also important for you to stay away from stale or refrigerated food as the food products could easily lose their nutritional value and may smell foul or appear discolored. Heating food in the microwave is also a bad option and must be avoided. Moreover, add fresh fruits and vegetables, salads, and healthy snacks to your diet; say bye to fried or processed foods, and eat good food on time.
